在一個季節裡,史作檉寫下了愛、爆裂與生命歸向的記錄。

他說:「什麼是愛情?愛情就是那種經過大苦,通過眼淚之淨洗,即刻便又恢復到雀躍般兒童之心的本質者。愛情就是不可用愛情以外任何原因,而妨礙到愛情本身存在的事物。」

因此,在生活與生命裡以不同姿態活著的我們,也學著去看見那有如日與夜的明暗表裡。

他說:「因為忍受不了對於完美生命之不可獲得的空虛與飢渴,我們嚮往愛情;為了愛情的不能獲得,我們大哭;為了我們大哭得徹底與深切,我們便說我們渴望生命的心獲得了淨洗般的慰藉;……當我們不再向前去追尋愛情的時刻裡,我們卻能更真實地去愛人了。因為一個真正將心裡的眼淚哭泣淨盡了的人,才是一個真正不再有任何猶疑、怨尤與憤恨的人。」
