Don't get caught up in the fact that the leaders may not be doing what they should, but make sure you are obeying God. In doing what he requires of you at the end of the day God is not going to bless you based on what someone else does, but what you do. I would rather trust God than trust all of the people who are claiming that through some hidden secret revelation God sent them to tell his people not to tithe as though he couldn't trust Jesus with such a task. My thoughts are if God did not want us to continue to tithe just as he specified that blood offering was no longer required he would have done the same concerning tithing.
