The Wages of Sin

Not long ago, America was a revered and respected nation: the world held us up as a symbol of hope and freedom, a place where dreams come true. Yet, we see today how the mighty have fallen! The America that was heralded only a few short years ago as a champion, has become little more than a byword; the laughing stock of the world. We now sit alone in the “Intensive Care Unit” of life, patiently waiting a “doctor,” any doctor with hopes that they can interpret our symptoms, diagnosis our disease and finally prescribe a proper course of treatment. Our once mighty nation now staggers and stumbles, almost in a drunken stupor. Crowds watch in awe and shock as America indiscriminately extends her hands to the world begging, “Brother can you spare a dime.”
