Located in a quiet suburb just out side the city, sits a shop called “The Valentine’s Shop”. It was a shop unlike any other I had ever come across and it had a shop owner that was as “quirky” as the shop itself. It had a paper-flyer ad that it posted online, which had nothing but words that sounded corny. In its ad, it claimed that it was a one-stop shop for all Valentine’s Day needs but what really caught my attention was the claim that it could help me find my “soulmate” in life. It was Valentine’s Day and I was without a Valentine’s partner. Driven by my curiosity, I decided to go check it out.

This is a fictional short story about Valentine’s Day, true love and the “twin soul” with a touch of humour and twists. There are many things in life that are beyond our control. The meeting with a “twin soul” usually comes when we least expect it. But there is usually a lesson to be learned from that experience, a profound and life-changing lesson. There is a reason for everything and whether we like it or not, rather than resist, we should allow it to flow – trust the path we are on, its been predetermined.
