Assistant District Attorney Alexander James Thompson had been on a high after successfully prosecuting members of the San Francisco Russian mob for promising riches to imported young Russian girls then turning them into unwilling prostitutes. Now he was sailing on the maiden voyage of the RMS Queen of the Clyde. It was a beautiful ship that was rebuilt and refurbished in the style and design of the original RMS Titanic. He was basically forced to take this 1912-Titanic-like cruise by his boss, District Attorney Donald Campbell. Apparently, the Russian mob was unhappy with his successful efforts. They were now threatening his life. The order from his boss was Take time off or you are fired. He wanted no harm to come to his top prosecutor. He needed to get Alexander Thompson out of town for a while. But it appears he is now in more danger on this ship than at home in San Francisco. He is suspected by the ships captain and ships security of being responsible for all the deadly deeds that were regularly occurring on this magnificent ship. He was in one helluva mess on this maiden voyage of the RMS Queen of the Clyde.
