What do you do when you suddenly receive a number of old, yellowed letters in the mail? Helga Rechenbach-Sarkar was stunned when she began reading the letters and realized how her life's journey was, at one time, closely connected to those of the author's. Immigrating to Canada from Germany at age twenty-two, Helga planned to stay for only two years. However, meeting her husband, Bishu, who shares her faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour, gave her the courage to remain in this new country. Adapting to a new culture and the seemingly endless upheavals in their professional and private lives proved to be an adventure in more ways than one. In her memoir, Helga describes how, together, they overcame whatever challenges God allowed in their lives. Author's Bio: Author Helga Rechenbach-Sarkar is a former pediatric nurse who grew up in Germany under difficult circumstances. Approaching her seventieth birthday, she gives thanks to God for the many people who recognized her need when those close to her would not. Sometimes they were complete strangers. Hence the title of her memoir.
