Finality... ... It is the last dip that gets all toes wet, though throats stay parched long after the shadows fade. And if by some odd chance you look down upon memory and it remembers starlit nights under your watchful eye, perhaps fate may weave a yarn for the dead to lead the faithful across a thinning division for slender reeds by the water’s edge... ... Maybe... if all alone to wander... then perhaps to bones that have been piled high by vigilance... to tumble down in feigned spontaneity, to lose the task of forgetting the path... then to the calling from one’s own... ...
