Sexual Grooming Awareness

This app / publication is the idea of an experienced youth worker and graduate of Peace studies and Politics. He has been working with young people for many years in casual youth settings and Schools.
The app / publication is designed in response to the recent cases regarding the sexual grooming, abuse and exploitation of young people and children by groups of older men. The basic aim of this app is to create awareness and information for parents and young people about the crime of sexual grooming because one of the main concerns which surfaces again and again is the lack of information and lack of awareness of this crime.
Young people, parents, guardians and institutions are unaware of the tactics and methods which sexual groomers are using. This results in a situation which makes young people vulnerable and leaves parents helpless and powerless to defend children and young people from becoming victims of this evil crime.
I have been working with young people in Bradford, West Yorkshire for many years. Through my work experience and personal research I have developed a deep insight into the dimensions and dynamics of sexual grooming, how it happens and what we need to look out for to stop this crime and protect young people and children from becoming victims. I hope this app will shed light on this crime and help us all to keep our young people safe.
