Set it Off

I lay quietly in the soothing, warm comfort of my bed; enjoying the ever more toasty essence of my dear Compadre, Emma Vardaman’s loving embrace as she lay tranquilly still with one two by four of a lupine arm caressing my own smaller, but slightly paunchy form as we both began to drift off into the enlightening and rejuvenating waters of sleep. I was just barely now beginning to become completely submerged when, “Les! Les!! Come on, girl. We gotta get up and roll! Now!”
