Out of Control

The defining moments of most people’s lives—being born and dying—are out of their control. While this is accepted by most, for some reason, the assumption of manipulating life in between is also widely held. We believe we steer our life on our own terms. We believe we are the masters of our own fate. But what if everything is out of control?What if you believe in a faith long before you were born and long after you die? What if you have never been in control? Scared or comforted by this, running away or toward it; will you, can you, surrender to being out of control? In this work, the concept of being out of control is contemplated. From the depths of sorrow to the heights of joy and all points in between, the choice is ours and the price is steep. Who or what do we follow? What will be gained and lost along the way? You are welcomed to come along for the ride.
