The unconventional and unlikely life of an east end lad. Born and raised in Walthamstow by parents from Stoke Newington and Hackney the life Malcolm Snook has lead and continues to lead could hardly be what his parents or peers would have expected.

His first real career was as a skydiving instructor in the 1970s, when skydiving might be considered dangerous, but sex was safe! With ambitions to be a racing driver Snook turned his attentions to a career in automotive advertising to both raise the money and make suitable contacts. For the next eight years his life revolved around single seater car racing.

On winning the Yamaha advertising account for his agency Snook switched to motorcycle racing, finally winning his only Championship.

After running his own advertising agency for many years, getting involved in the London swing dance scene and starting a vintage clothing business on the side, he finally shut up shop, purchased an old sailing ketch and went away to sea for almost a decade.
