It is essential to “nail” the interview to get the position. The purpose of the job interview is not just to determine if the applicant is a good fit for the company, but equally important (if not more important) is to determine if the job and the company is a good fit for you. Surprisingly, one should spend more time, a good deal more time, preparing for the interview than the time spent in the interview.

So how do you go about finding and getting the job you want? One way is to learn how to interview. An interview should not be a happenstance encounter that determines your next career move. It should be a methodically thought-out process where you present your best qualities to the potential employer, and where you make inquiries enabling you to make a sound judgment call about the place and the people with whom you will be spending the majority of your waking hours.
