Look at Me

In this dark satire of pop culture, an unnamed teenaged narrator describes his descent into violence and destruction. Drowning in wealth yet parentally neglected, he is starved for true attention and so aligns himself with a new student in his school, a budding Mephistopheles who manipulates him into a new and disturbing world, leading him to contemplate an act of terrorism aimed at his school and fellow students. Look at Me takes aim at the worlds of mass entertainment, consumerism, and technology. Told in the first person in an unidentified yet all too familiar setting, it is both a warning and a cry for help.
