Godzinki: The Little Hours of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Blessed Pope John Paul II, in his autobiographical book "Gift and Mystery," recalled the prayers that marked his vocation in a special way. The first and most important of them are the "Godzinki" in honor of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. Since the introduction of this prayer in Poland in the 17th century, and through its distribution to all parts of Polish society, as well as to the immigrant communities, it shapes the of faith of Polish Catholics —including S. Maximilian Maria Kolbe and St. Faustina Kowalska— and their relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary. – This volume presents the history of the Godzinki and gives a literal translation.
