"Freedom is not something to bestow and it is not something to fight for. Freedom is something to learn. Let's learn more of it." (Kurosh Taromi)

This is an anthology of selected books, essays, lectures and extracts from outstanding works by influential thinkers and activists who were deeply engaged with the idea of freedom and the ways to achieve it. Only the most relevant and informative parts of some larger texts are selected. However, the sequence of the paragraphs and their contents are exactly as they appeared in the original works (except for the footnotes and references) in order to preserve the course of reasoning and conclusion. The texts are alphabetically sorted, according to the surname of the authors. Half-Hours with the Freethinkers, which appears as an appendix to this book and is a collection of 22 texts about ancient and modern freethinkers, gathered and edited by Iconoclast.
