The poem El Centro is a search for truths. The narrator in his quest finds himself in a mental institution and there he remains occasionally getting out for a visit. The first part of El Centro is very introspective and only when he finds truths to his mind does he come out of his mind. During the bus trip to the soul, we see the narrator venturing out from his mind and testing his truths while gathering all his knowledge from others. The soul ends in a place called Getchin, which is paradise.
