Through a fictional wheat farming family, the author explores the dynamics of American wheat, Vietnam War, and the Watergate scandal.   Toward gaining peace in Vietnam, Nixon made a secret wheat deal with Moscow which was joined inseparably to a billion-dollar grain fraud against the farmers.  As victims of this fraud, the wheat farmers hired a freelance journalist to uncover the truth.  She was beautiful, very intelligent and had a close friend in the White House who provided her with information.  Amber's investigation into Nixon's secret wheat deal led to many sources of information.  She even backed Kissinger into a corner with her questions. Each piece of evidence uncovered increased her passion toward discovering the full truth.  Her investigation took years, involving dangerous situations and a willingness to have sex for information.  Amber's efforts paid off as she uncovered an integral link between the secret Soviet wheat deal, peace in Vietnam, and the "Watergate scandal."
