Ariana and Alaric, a troubled ten-year-old boy, fall into the hands of the enemy, and though Alaric manages to escape, the companions must travel to the mysterious Isle of Storms to save Ariana and confront their enemy, while the High King struggles to protect the kingdoms of Syreth from the power of unchecked magic.
