Black Liberation Movement and Rastafari of Jamaica

This is a study on the historical formation of the newest religion in Jamaica among the Black people who came out of slavery. In the process of making Haile Selassie the Emperor of Ethiopia as the liberating mesia, and his connection with King Solomon and the Christian tradition ultimately led to disappointment. Selassie himself was murdered and did not resurrect. The presence of the Indian Hindu religious community among the Coolies (who replaced the slaves) provided the solution. The suncretic religion is what we have in Rastafarians. What are their believes? What is the culture of this tradition? What is their scripture? They even developed a new language within English?
