‘An Alphabet of Poetry Forms’ is Alan Peat’s third collection of poetry for children. Each of the poetic forms in the book is accompanied by an invaluable ‘Teachers’ notes’ section.

Clearly, poetry is not just an exercise in form but the word play inherent in each of the chosen forms will help to develop a love of language.

Alan Peat has published poetry collections for both children and adults and his poems have been published in many magazines including ‘Blithe Spirit’; ‘Snapshots’; ‘Still’ etc. He is a member of both the British and American Haiku societies and has been a runner-up in the ‘Still’ International Haiku competition on three occasions.
