This a poetic form (AA, BB) of the first portion of the Book of Jonah. Even though this is intended to be more of a book for children, I think "children" of all ages will enjoy this book. No matter how old we may be there's still that child-like nature that will always reside within us. Taken from God's Word, I attempted to look at it from the large fish's point of view. The artwork, that was hand-drawn, by Matt Rokahr is what makes this book so delightfully special. This is purposely done in a black and white format so it can be used as a coloring book.

The Scriptures teach that Jesus was three days and three nights in the grave before rising from the dead. Jonah is an Old Testament "picture" or "type" of what Jesus would endure some years later. Jonah was in the belly of the big fish for three days and three nights before the fish spat him back out. "Salvation of the Lord" is the message of Jonah. The Lord preserved and saved and rescued Jonah from the belly of the fish. God then used His prophet, Jonah, to proclaim the mercy and grace of His to the inhabitants of Nineveh. Upon hearing God's Word, the people of Nineveh, from the king on down believed upon the Lord and they were forgiven their sins. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in His mercy and grace, is simply amazing.
