With a nod to “The Phantom Tollbooth” for its creative wordplay and to “The Giving Tree” as a classic tale of life lessons, A Definite Probability is a beautifully illustrated 52-page book that both young (ages 6 to 11) and old will read with delight.

It begins in the Place of Personality with a boy named Probably who grew up in a family of high achievers (Certainly, Absolutely, Totally and Completely). He sets off with his dog, Likely, to Resolution Park to learn how to distinguish himself in his family. While following the Answer Trail, he meets many unique characters along the way. In the end, he reaches The Stream of Thought, where he comes to a profound understanding about himself.

“The story is simple, but the message of self image and self esteem is profound.” ~ Arudi Srihari, M.D., Child Psychiatrist

“Having once been a teacher of Children’s Literature to M.A. students, I felt blessed to read and reflect on this beautiful literary piece. The whole flow of language is brilliant, and the insight into human nature profound.” ~ Sister Mary Teresa Brown, O.P.
